The 2026 Ohira Sports Exchange Meet will be held on Sunday, October 11, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Takakatsu Manyo Park Campground. In case of rain, the venue will change to the Village Gymnasium. The event is open to residents living in the village, people working within the village, and their families. The event program includes a "Walking Course" (2.3 km) for a leisurely walk around Takakatsu Manyo Park and its surroundings, and a "Running Course" (4.5 km). In addition, hands-on new sports experiences enjoyable from children to seniors are prepared, including yoga, Disc Getter, Molkky, and beanbag toss (tamaire). Those wishing to try yoga should wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat. The first 200 participants will receive participation prizes and free stall vouchers (for tonjiru pork miso soup and rice balls), and food trucks will also be on-site. Registration is available via the Public Hall (345-2197) or the designated URL, with a deadline of Wednesday, September 30.
