Held in Misato Town, Miyagi Prefecture, the '31st Hitomebore Marathon' is a regular autumn sports event commemorating the 20th anniversary of the merger of Misato Town. The course running through rich rural scenery is flat and easy to run, allowing a wide range of generations from beginners to veterans to enjoy it. Events include 10 km, 5 km, 3 km, and 2 km, as well as a parent-child pair division where elementary school students and their guardians can participate. At the tournament, local hospitality such as the provision of onigiri rice balls made with Misato-grown Hitomebore rice and tonjiru pork miso soup is also planned, allowing participants to run while feeling the autumn of Misato Town. The opening ceremony will be held from 8:45, and starts for each event will proceed sequentially from 9:30. Registration is at the Misato Town Training Center from 8:15 to 10:10.
