Toshukan August Exhibitions

Art Hall Toshukan will hold various exhibitions in August 2026, divided into first and second terms. In the first term, the "Hiroshima and Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Photo Exhibition" will be held, offering an opportunity to reflect on peace through displays of photographs, panels, and documents organized by the Fukagawa City Peace Movement Promotion Council. In addition, a solo exhibition titled "Tsuyu no Atosaki" by Masayasu Sato, an Obihiro resident and notable member of Zendo-ten, as well as the photo exhibition "Forest Portraits Fukagawa Exhibition" by Takuya Kotera, a Memuro resident who loves natural forests and creates photo books and picture books, will also be held. In the second term, the "Tahitian Artists Exhibition" will be featured, showcasing works painted by the people of Tahiti that were donated to the hall. Furthermore, an exhibition of sculptures and picture-story shows (kamishibai) by Shinji Yako, a Sapporo resident who creates sculptures as contemporary art and promotes picture-story shows, and an oil painting exhibition titled "Alice's Scenery" by Midori Ikeda, an Obihiro resident active internationally, will be held. No advance application is required for any of the exhibitions, and all will be held at Art Hall Toshukan.
