The walking event "Furano Veggie Walk in Higashiyama 2026" hosted by Furano City will be held. This time's course is in the Higashiyama district, where gentle hilly areas spread out and beautiful rural scenery can be enjoyed. While opportunities to visit from urban areas may be few, this event allows you to discover new charms of Furano. Two aid stations are set up along the approximately 9 km course, offering fresh agricultural produce harvested in Furano, such as melons and cherry tomatoes. Why not walk for about 2.5 to 3 hours while enjoying Furano's rich nature and flavors to promote mental and physical health? Participants in the Kenko Point Project will be awarded 50 points by participating in this event. Wearing clothing suitable for exercise (especially shoes) is recommended. The event will be held in light rain, but in case of cancellation due to severe weather or bear sightings, notifications will be made via the event website, social media, phone, etc. Because parts of the course include slopes and unpaved roads, please take care if you are unsteady on your feet.
