About this event
Held every October, the 'Autumn Wood Education Toy Festival' will be held again this year. This year, Takashi Furukawa from Muku-studio in Saitama Prefecture will be invited to conduct a workshop. In the workshop titled 'Learn How to Apply Glue Like a Pro! Rolling Domino Crafting', instructor Takashi Furukawa will provide careful guidance. There are also plenty of activities for children and adults to enjoy, such as handmade craft experiences and a stamp rally. The venue will also host the annual 'Ayukawa Marche', bringing together popular shops in Yurihonjo City as well as delicious food and wonderful items from within Akita Prefecture. With a wide variety of food trucks setting up shop, you can enjoy playing, eating, and shopping all day long. Chokaisan Wooden Toy Museum is a multigenerational exchange and wood education facility utilizing the former Ayukawa Elementary School, a Nationally Registered Tangible Cultural Property, and is equipped with toys and large play equipment made from locally sourced wood.
