Held in Semboku City, Akita Prefecture, 'Shusai Komichi in Kakunodate 2026' is a craft event marking the arrival of autumn, celebrating its 8th edition since its pre-event in 2016. It will be held over two days on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Ochiai Sports Park Cherry Blossom Tree-Lined Path. Featuring craft works, shops, and food and beverage sales by attractive creators gathered from all over the country, visitors can enjoy the warmth of craftsmanship and meeting the creators. Under the cherry blossom trees colored in autumn hues, you can spend an enriching time experiencing the joy of finding your own special favorite item. The event will be held rain or shine, but may be cancelled in stormy weather such as typhoons. At the venue, 83 participants in the craft division, 2 stores in the shop division, and 27 stores in the food and beverage sales division are scheduled to exhibit. A special space is provided where creators and customers can interact directly, allowing you to fully experience the appeal of nature and long-standing craftsmanship in Kakunodate, southern Akita.
