Matsuyama Otemon Craft Fair '26

Held every September at Matsuyama Historical Park in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture, 'Matsuyama Otemon Craft Fair '26' is a two-day craft fair where you can find one-of-a-kind treasures. Original handmade goods and delicious food will gather from inside and outside Yamagata Prefecture. At the venue, visitors can also enjoy historical structures such as the Matsuyama Castle Otemon Gate (a Yamagata Prefecture-designated cultural property), the Matsuyama Cultural Heritage Museum, and the Matsuyama Castle Ruins Hall featuring a Noh stage. In the surrounding area, fun activities such as a stamp rally and a food drive are organized to entertain attendees. Various craft and food/beverage booths will be open, allowing visitors to enjoy unique handmade creations and gourmet specialties.
