Kawanishi Town's first stationery festival, 'Kawabun Fes', will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Kawanishi Machinaka Terrace 'Machiria'. Spotlighting stationery, a local industry long rooted in Kawanishi Town, the event brings together stationery stores, manufacturers, and creators from inside and outside the prefecture. In addition to original stationery sales and hands-on corners, visitors can enjoy food stalls, kitchen cars, a stamp rally, and photo spots. Highlights include a tour of the Mitsubishi Pencil factory (lottery-based) and a talk show by a stationery sommelier. Around the venue, a stamp rally exploring downtown Kawanishi and a 'One-Box Used Book Market' will be held concurrently. It will be a day where you can fully appreciate the charm of stationery while enjoying a stroll around Kawanishi Town. Admission is free with no reservation required.
