About this event
The 51st Atsuta Furusato Aki-Aji Festival, one of the three major autumn festivals of Ishikari City, is a festival where you can fully savor the tastes of autumn. Starting with direct sales of fresh salmon, you can taste the rich bounty of Atsuta, including seafood and mountain delicacies. In particular, the "Aki-Aji Weight Guessing" contest, where salmon is given as a prize, is a popular event. In addition, participatory events such as a lucky mochi toss with chances to win newly harvested rice and fresh vegetables, as well as a fun grand raffle, are plentiful. Visitors can also enjoy gourmet food featuring Atsuta's brand pork "Morai Pork" and the sale of specialty products from Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, a friendship city of Ishikari City. Local traditional arts such as the Morai Lion Dance will also be performed, allowing you to experience a festival rich in regional color.
