38th Aizuwakamatsu City Tsuruga Castle Half Marathon

Held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, the '38th Aizuwakamatsu City Tsuruga Castle Half Marathon' is a race run on a JAAF-certified course that includes the grounds of Tsuruga Castle (Aizuwakamatsu Castle), the symbol of Aizuwakamatsu City. You can enjoy running through the city while feeling the historic streets of Aizu. In addition to the half marathon division, diverse divisions including 5 km, 3 km, 2 km, and 1 km are set up, offering numerous categories to match various ages and fitness levels. In particular, the half marathon division has a time limit of 2 hours and 40 minutes, with checkpoints installed. At around the 17 km mark, a temporary race interruption due to a railroad crossing is scheduled. All participants will receive an original Mizuno T-shirt as a participation prize. Furthermore, as this event is partnered with RUN as ONE – Tokyo Marathon 2027, half marathon finishers will also have the chance to win an entry slot for the Tokyo Marathon 2027 by lottery. Running through the autumn roads and castle town of Aizu, this event will be a special experience for runners.
