Iwaki Downtown Concert 2026

About this event

The downtown center of Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, will be transformed into a festival of music and performance for two days. Musicians gathered from all over Japan, both professional and amateur, will perform live across all genres on stages set up in various locations throughout the town. In addition to music, diverse performances including variety entertainment, magic, dance, and taiko drumming will unfold. Overcoming the earthquake disaster and the pandemic, this event celebrating its 21st anniversary will also be held during the milestone 60th anniversary of Iwaki's municipal organization. To pass the light of culture on to the future, it will be two days full of music and smiles. The event covers 14 venues in total, including Iwaki Station Plaza, live houses, and parks, turning the entire town of Taira into a single concert hall.
