About this event
Held in front of Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station on Sunday, September 6, 2026, the "YOSAKOI Soran Festival Donan Regional Tournament" is a beloved summer tradition in the southern Hokkaido (Donan) region. A grand parade will take place in Hokuto City, home to the Hokkaido Shinkansen bullet train station. From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the prefectural road in front of Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station will be closed to traffic, featuring local teams as well as top-ranking teams from the main festival showcasing dynamic dance routines in vibrant, colorful costumes. Approximately 25 teams are scheduled to gather, allowing visitors to enjoy energetic performances and spectacular stage acts. Additionally, a photo contest will be held on the same day, accepting submissions of dynamic photos capturing the participating teams.
