About this event
Fukushima Prefecture will host the "80th Commemorative Fukushima Comprehensive Art Exhibition" to promote the fine arts of the prefecture. Works are openly submitted and exhibited across 5 divisions: Japanese Painting, Western Painting, Sculpture, Craft Arts, and Calligraphy (Sho). Eligibility to apply is open to residents of Fukushima Prefecture and natives of Fukushima Prefecture. The exhibition period is from September 18, 2026 (Friday) to September 27, 2026 (Sunday), and the venue is Toho Minna no Bunka Center (Fukushima Prefectural Culture Center). Viewing hours are from 9:30 to 17:00, with differing opening and closing times on the first and final days. Admission is free. In addition, special programs such as workshops for exhibitors and gallery concerts will also be held. Submissions will be accepted on September 1, 2026 (Tuesday) at the Minamisoma City Hibari Lifelong Learning Center.
