About this event
Coloring autumn in Koori Town, the "51st Koori Town Cultural Festival" will be held over two days on Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, 2026, under the theme "Connecting Generations: The Circle of Cultural Exchange." With a history of over 50 years, this cultural festival aims to pass down Koori Town's wonderful arts and culture from seniors to younger generations and enjoy them together. At the Town Gymnasium, a comprehensive exhibition featuring works by children and adults alike—including paintings, calligraphy, and photography—will take place, alongside handicraft and etegami (picture postcard) workshops and sales. Visitors can support their favorite groups by placing stickers and messages on the "Support Board" set up at the exhibition and workshop booths. Additionally, a treasure hunt game called "Find the Hidden Mini-Hotapi! (Hota-saga)" will be held, where participants search for hidden Mini-Hotapi characters in the venue and arrange letters, with handmade crafts and deluxe prizes awarded to correct entries. At the multipurpose studio in Ikōze!, lively stage presentations featuring ensemble music, choir, dance, and traditional performing arts will take place, offering enjoyment from nostalgic tunes to contemporary hits. Furthermore, kitchen cars serving takoyaki, crepes, and more will be present, alongside the annual lottery featuring local specialties and other prizes, allowing visitors to enjoy the festival with delicious gourmet food.
