42nd Wakuwaku Market Festival

About this event

The once-a-year market open appreciation day, the "42nd Wakuwaku Market Festival", will be held at the Fukushima City Public Local Wholesale Market. Visitors can enjoy classic programs such as spot sales of fresh fish, vegetables, fruits, and flowers, as well as mock auctions and tuna cutting demonstrations/sales. Furthermore, the Fukushima Gourmet Festival, stage decorations using prefectural flowers, vehicle exhibits including sports cars, Melody Bus, police cars, and EV trucks, as well as an exhibit of the golden waraji known from the Fukushima Waraji Festival, will take place. In addition, there will be plenty of food stalls, food trucks, sponsor booths, and stage events such as Japanese taiko drumming performances, magic shows, and hula dancing. Admission is free, and the event will proceed in rain, but details may change or the event may be cancelled in the event of stormy weather.
