As a special project for the Fukushima Destination Campaign (Fukushima DC), Kunimi Town in Fukushima Prefecture is offering tours around the town for visitors from outside Fukushima Prefecture. On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the 'Kunimi Peach Tour: Enjoying Seasonal Peaches' will be held. This tour is a peach-filled one-day bus tour where participants can enjoy peach picking, taste-testing different varieties, and making sweets. Past tours have included a one-day trip featuring freshly picked apricot harvesting and gourmet dining in Kunimi as a relaxing holiday wrapped in early summer aromas; a town walking tour visiting long-established shops and taking a special tour of the Okuyama Family Residence (a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan); and an experience tour that included viewing the 800-year-old ancient 'Chuson-ji Lotus,' optional craft workshops, a special tour of the Matsuda Family Residence (a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan), and peach tasting. These tours provide opportunities to experience the rich nature, food, and historical architecture of Kunimi Town.
