The 9th Tomioka Reconstruction Road Race

About this event

This event is held to support the reconstruction of Tomioka Town following the lifting of evacuation orders. Through marathon running, it aims to promote familiarity with sports, improve participants' health and physical strength, and make daily life bright and rich. Naoko Takahashi, the Sydney Olympic women's marathon gold medalist, will join as a special guest to enliven the tournament. Various divisions are prepared, including parent-child division, elementary school division, junior high school division, and general division (high school students, adults, seniors), with courses ranging from 1 km to 10 km. Gathering time is scheduled from 7:00 to 7:30, and competitions are scheduled to start from 8:00. The entry fee ranges from 500 yen to 4,000 yen depending on the division. The participant capacity is approximately 1,000 people. The tournament will be held around the Tomioka Town General Sports Center.
