2026 Manabe Festival

About this event

In the Manabe district of Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture, the historic traditional event "2026 Manabe Festival" will be held for 3 days from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30, 2026. Heroic festival floats and lions from all 9 neighborhoods will parade through the district, allowing visitors to firsthand experience the lively atmosphere unique to this traditional event passed down through the region. On the final day, Sunday, August 30, which marks the festival's finale, a powerful "Kyouen" (joint performance) will take place starting at 18:30 in the parking lot of Craft Civic Hall Tsuchiura. In addition, on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, a "Nigiwai Hiroba" (bustling plaza) will be set up with food and beverage booths, further enlivening the festival atmosphere.
