Urban Sports Fest in Kasama 2026

About this event

Held for the first time in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture, the 'Urban Sports Fest in Kasama 2026' is a large-scale event bringing together three sports: breaking, BMX, and skateboarding. Competitions for each sport that were previously held separately will be integrated into a single festival for the first time this year. At the venue, Kasama Geijutsu no Mori Park, visitors can enjoy powerful performances and top-level competitions in skateboarding, breaking, and BMX. A skateboarding tournament will be held on Saturday, November 7, and BMX challenge games and a breaking battle will be held on Sunday, November 8. In addition to the competitions, there are plenty of contents for visitors to enjoy all day long, including food truck stalls titled 'Baku-Meshi Sai' and a 'Night Festival' featuring guest talks and exhibitions. Kasama City positions skateboarding, BMX, and breaking as key initiatives of 'Sports City Kasama' and aims for regional revitalization. This festival is expected to become a new cultural exchange venue where competitors and spectators gather.
