About this event

The "Ohisama Sansan Lively Festival 2026" will be held with the aim of deepening the desire for social participation and mutual understanding among participants, as well as raising awareness for welfare-oriented community development through sports and recreation for the elderly and persons with disabilities. The event features challenge corners freely open to the general public such as balance ball exercise experiences and boccia, an attraction stage featuring Double Dutch and Yosakoi Soran performances, and simulated food and shop stalls selling sweets and other items. The sports meet includes events such as ball-carrying by people (children) with disabilities and the elderly, bread-eating races, giant ball rolling, and beanbag tossing (tamaire). The attraction stage is scheduled from 12:00 to 13:00, and the general public can view it from the 2nd-floor seats. In the free-participation corner, visitors can also enjoy soccer nine, ring toss, muscle strength measurement, one-handed cooking, ocarina performances, and dance. A fluffy bouncer (air-dome play equipment) will also appear. Because the venue is outdoors at Tsukuba Capio, the event may be partially or entirely canceled depending on the weather. Barrier-free facilities are well-equipped, including slopes, wheelchair-accessible elevators, multipurpose restrooms, ostomate-accessible restrooms, written communication support, wheelchair rentals, and sign language interpretation (only inside the sports meet venue). Consultations in advance are available if reasonable accommodations are required.
