About this event

"acosta! @ Daigo-machi, Ibaraki" is a cosplay event held in Daigo Town, Ibaraki Prefecture, on Saturday, October 24, 2026. "acosta!", one of Japan's largest cosplay events, lands in Daigo Town for the first time. In this event, the traditional rural satoyama landscape—a quintessential scene of Japan different from urban settings—and retro townscapes serve as the backdrop for cosplay photography. In addition to the shopping district in front of Daigo Station and the Daigo Town Cultural and Welfare Hall "Main", a shuttle bus is scheduled to run visiting the Daigo Oyaki School (a wooden schoolhouse designated as a cultural property), Fujita Tourist Apple Orchard, Okukuji Tea Village Park, and other spots. Visitors can enjoy photography and socializing while taking in Daigo Town's rich autumn nature. Furthermore, exclusively for event participants, a chartered JR Suigun Line "Cosplay Train" on which passengers can ride in full cosplay will operate from Mito Station to Hitachi-Daigo Station, offering a special experience unique to this area, such as photography inside the train and against scenery along the railway line. The event will be held from 11:00 to 19:00, with photography permitted until 18:00.
