As an autumn tradition that enlivens the central downtown area, the "2026 Utsunomiya Festival" features mikoshi (portable shrines) from Eno-cho Neighborhood Association, Hino-cho Neighborhood Association, and the market parading through the city. Starting from Bamba Square on the approach to Futaarayama Shrine, the spectacle of parading through Bamba Street and Orion Street with spirited chants is magnificent. In 2026, mikoshi from Daikan-cho Kyowakai and Miyajima-cho Neighborhood Association will also join, making it a five-shrine joint procession with expectations for even greater liveliness. As an autumn tradition in Utsunomiya, this festival is beloved by local residents and tourists alike.
