About this event

"Miya Colle! 2026 - Utsunomiya Citizens' Festival" is a citizen-participatory festival celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Junior Chamber International Utsunomiya, bringing together the charms of Utsunomiya. Embodying the sentiment of "When you think of Utsunomiya, this is it!", shops, enterprises, schools, community groups, and people working for the city bring their respective prides and attractions together to co-create new charms for Utsunomiya. On the day of the event, various projects will unfold across four designated areas set in downtown Utsunomiya: Odori, Bamba Plaza, Bamba-dori, Orion-dori, and Utsunomiya Castle Ruins Park. Bamba Civic Plaza will feature stage events and an area to enjoy Utsunomiya's unique culinary culture, while Orion-dori will host exhibitions of art, photography, calligraphy, crafts, and university research presentations, as well as hands-on crafting workshops and PR booths by local businesses and sports teams. Utsunomiya Castle Ruins Park will be an area where visitors can experience future urban planning through vehicle exhibitions and more, and a special parade celebrating the 60th anniversary will take place on Odori with traffic regulations in place. In addition, the "Tokyo Disney Resort® Special Parade" and the exhibition of the "Duffy Bus" are scheduled, creating a grand cultural festival utilizing the entire city of Utsunomiya where all citizens and visitors alike can be the stars of the show. Stamp rallies and check-in activities will also be available, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the diverse charms of Utsunomiya while strolling through the town.
