About this event
The annual "Walking, Viewing, and Touching the Historical Road" event will explore the cultural properties of the Izumi and Higashi-Izumi districts this year. It is a valuable opportunity to feel the rich culture of the local area firsthand while listening to explanations from experts. On the day, participants will visit numerous cultural properties that tell the history of the area, such as the Enoki (Japanese hackberry) of Izumi, the road sign inscribed with Daishomen Kongo, Higashi-Izumi Hokine Shrine, and the special road sign with Siddham script. The total walking distance is planned to be approximately 3.5 km, so please participate in clothing and with items suitable for walking. The participation fee is 100 yen for insurance and materials, but it is free for members of the Yaita City Cultural Property Protection Association. Capacity is limited to 20 participants (first-come, first-served), so please apply early.
