The "59th Yaita City Cultural Festival" held in Yaita City, Tochigi Prefecture, is an event aimed at presenting the achievements of citizens' literary and artistic activities and deepening exchanges among people involved in cultural pursuits. Exhibitions featuring calligraphy, painting, photography, handicrafts, literature, flower arrangement (ikebana), and bonsai will be held, open to anyone free of charge. Furthermore, performing arts presentations including folk songs (minyo), dance, sword and poetry dance (kenshibu), and hula dancing will be held, which can also be enjoyed for free.
