Nasushiobara Station Picnic Week 2026

About this event

Utilizing the road space in front of Nasushiobara Station, "Nasushiobara Station Picnic Week 2026" will be held where people can relax, enjoy food, and participate in play and activities. This project also serves as a social experiment where citizens and station users try out various ways to spend time in front of the station while contemplating the future shape of the station front in daily life. It embodies the wish that scenes such as someone eating a meal, moving their body, or children playing—making people feel like casually dropping by when exiting the station—become part of everyday life. Based on the concept of "Eat, Cultivate, Play", visitors can enjoy local food through food, beverage, and goods sales, consider the future and everyday life of the station front through a space where various people participate, and enjoy health and various senses of daily living. Specifically, food and beverage offerings by kitchen cars (food trucks), a market with goods sales and craft workshops, a "Five Senses Walking" booth to lighten the mind and body by paying attention to town scenery, sounds, and the soles of the feet, photo and poster exhibitions, and the setup of casual relaxation rest spaces are planned. Additionally, on October 31, collaboration with the food circulation event "NASUSHIOBARA COMER CON" is also planned. In conjunction with holding the event, traffic restrictions on some roads and a traffic volume survey will also be conducted.
