2026 Ota Matsuri (North & South Venues)

About this event

Held every year led by residents with each district setting its own theme, the Ota Matsuri by both Ota and Kuai districts will be held again in 2026. The North Venue is centered on the Ota District Shopping Street, and the South Venue is centered on the Minami Ichibangai Main Street, allowing visitors to enjoy events that make the most of the characteristics of both districts. At the North Venue, the Great Tenno Mikoshi Parade, decorated float parade, Friendship Square, and stage events are planned, promising a powerful and vibrant festival atmosphere. Meanwhile, at the South Venue, diverse stage events will unfold—such as brass band performances by elementary and junior high school students, children's mikoshi, Awa Odori, Yagibushi, and the Dream Dance Festa—offering programs that a wide range of generations can enjoy. It is also popular with families, allowing visitors to fully enjoy a lively festival atmosphere set in downtown Ota City in early autumn.
