About this event

The word textile refers to woven fabric, or the threads and fibers that serve as materials for woven fabric. Textile art is a term representing all dyeing and weaving arts from ancient times to the present day. Among these, this exhibition introduces contemporary artworks created using materials such as threads, cloth, and natural or synthetic fibers. Works on display are crafted by 11 currently active domestic artists. Working with their chosen materials and free imagination, the artists employ diverse techniques such as weaving, knitting, sewing, dyeing, and shrinking, meticulously handcrafting works over time that evoke memories of tactile texture alongside beautiful colors and unimaginable forms. Please enjoy the world of contemporary textile art created by these diverse works across the gallery space.
