"Food, Sound, and Market: Shimonita Fes" is a town-strolling experiential event that revives the lively atmosphere of the former "Hina-ichi" market held in downtown Shimonita as a modern version. It will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in downtown Shimonita (Nakamachi Main Street, Nakamachi Municipal Parking Lot, the open space in front of the Konjac Workshop Dojo, and other areas). Admission is free. The event consists of three pillars: "Food," "Sound," and "Market." Under "Food," you can enjoy a gourmet festival with kitchen cars and ramen shops gathered from inside and outside the region. Under "Sound," live music by artists from inside and outside the region will take place across three stages. Under "Market," in addition to sales of handmade goods, miscellaneous items, and accessories by craft artists, local vegetables, souvenirs, and specialty products will also be sold. Furthermore, children's workshops such as bamboo lantern making, e-sports experiences, excavation experiences by the Geopark Association, and picture book storytelling will be available, alongside a relaxation area offering massages, ear reflexology jewelry, and more. A stamp rally touring the town will also be held, with luxurious prizes scheduled to be given to visitors who complete it. Event details are in the planning stage and subject to change.
