"Hosho School Kanra Takigi Noh" will be held on a special stage at the nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty "Rakusan-en" in Kanra Town, Gunma Prefecture. This performance features commentary by Manjiro Tatsumi, the Shimai "Yamanba" performed by Takaya Tatsumi, and the Kyogen "Futari Daimyo" performed by Mansai Nomura. The Noh play "Kurama Tengu" will be staged, starring Kazuhide Hosho, Manjiro Tatsumi, Tomoharu Hosho, and others. In particular, one of the highlights is that Tomoharu Hosho, the eldest son of the head family, plays Ushiwaka in the piece "Kurama Tengu," marking what is said to be the first time in history that so many performers bearing the Hosho surname appear together. In case of rain, the event will be held at Kanra Town Cultural Hall. Tickets go on sale starting Sunday, July 5, with member reception beginning at 9:00, general sales at 13:00, and telephone reservations accepted from 15:00. Preschool children are not admitted.
