The Utaya-no-Mori Festival is an event aimed at passing down Hasuda City's proud history and culture while cherishing its irreplaceable nature. The host district, Utaya, is situated deep in an inlet leading to Kurohama Marsh and is home to precious historic sites such as the Utaya Ruins, representing the Late Jomon Period, and the Kurohama Shell Mound from the Early Jomon Period. In addition, Kurohama Marsh, where pristine nature remains preserved, is designated as a Saitama Prefecture Green Trust Conservation Area. The festival aims to widely convey these historical and natural charms while bringing local residents and visitors together. After previous periods of self-restraint due to COVID-19, the festival made a successful comeback under the theme 'Revived New Utaya' and celebrates its 17th year. Supported by administrative bodies, endorsing organizations, sponsor companies, and local volunteer groups, it is organized as an event enjoyable across generations.
