About this event
Osugi Shrine, located on the grounds of Takaiwa Tenman Shrine, is called 'Amba-sama,' and its festival is held twice a year. Lion dances and portable shrine (mikoshi) neighborhood processions are carried out to ward off evil spirits. In 2026, the Takaiwa Tenman Shrine Spring Festival will be held on Sunday, March 29, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, though there will be no mikoshi procession. Another festival is scheduled for Sunday, October 25; in this area, the Takaiwa Ohayashi Music Association has been formed and is actively performing. Past events also show that it is a traditional festival deeply rooted in the local community.
