About this event
Held at Atarashii Mura in Miyashiro Town, Saitama Prefecture, "Let's Play with Picture Books" is an event where children can immerse themselves in the world of picture books. At the Village Community Center in Atarashii Mura, picture books that tickle children's curiosity will be prepared. After enjoying picture book storytelling, children can challenge making sweet potato cheese galettes, making sweets, and paper crafts together with their guardians. It will be a fun time where children's eyes sparkle and they cannot help but cry out with excitement. This time, making sweet potato cheese galettes using autumn's seasonal sweet potatoes is scheduled, offering a hands-on experience connected to food education. Participation in the event requires prior application by phone or via the website up to 3 days before the date of the event. Please note that cancellations after Thursday, October 22 will incur a cancellation fee of half the participation fee. Required items to bring are scissors, glue, an apron, and a bandana.
