The 13th Kazusa Ichihara Kokufu Festival, the largest festival in Ichihara City, will be held across various venues in Ichihara City over two days on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, 2026. This festival aims to showcase attractions rooted in Ichihara City's history and culture, create town vitality, and foster civic pride and love for the hometown among citizens. At the venues, a wide variety of events are scheduled, including stage performances such as dance and music, historical picture-scroll processions, parades of floats and decorated carts, neri-odori dancing, and portable shrine (mikoshi) processions. In addition, the 'Ichihara Big Tug-of-War', 'Chiba YOSAKOI', and 'Ichihara Kokufu Fireworks Display' will also be held. Furthermore, the 'Ichihara Kokufu Market' will feature local gourmet food and agricultural produce sales, business promotions, and over 100 stalls including the Friendship Bazaar. Last year, 300,000 visitors attended over the two days, filling the venue with crowds.
