35th Yotsukaido Furusato Festival

The "35th Yotsukaido Furusato Festival," a quintessential summer event of Yotsukaido City, will be held at Yotsukaido Central Park over two days on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23, 2026. While preserving long-standing traditions such as Bon Odori dancing, taiko drumming, hon-mikoshi portable shrines, and a children's parade, the festival will be enlivened by the "Everybody Ondo," a new Yotsukaido dance song created for the 150th Anniversary of Chiba Prefecture's founding, and the customary fireworks. In addition, many people are involved in the event through the sale of charity T-shirts created in collaboration with people with disabilities, event operations supported by volunteer staff, and new forms of sponsorship. Why not make summer memories at this festival packed with the charms of hometown Yotsukaido? On the first day, traffic restrictions will be in place on Sakura-dori in front of the venue for a parade. On Saturday, a sky lantern light-up with countless LED lanterns released into the sky will take place, and fireworks are scheduled for Sunday. The opening kicks off with a taiko drum performance at 16:00 on both days.
