About this event
The "48th Yokappe Festival x Kodomo Shigoto Haku® 2026 in Sosa" will be held along Yokaichiba Honcho Street in Sosa City, Chiba Prefecture. The venue will be enlivened by a parade featuring elementary school students carrying handmade "barrel portable shrines" (taru mikoshi), alongside diverse stalls set up by various local organizations. This year, "Kodomo Shigoto Haku®" will be held concurrently, creating opportunities for children to learn about local jobs and companies, and to reflect on their future dreams and careers through hands-on work experiences. It is a day of watching, eating, and experiencing that everyone from children to adults can enjoy. As in previous years, various events will be held on the day, including the barrel portable shrine parade, stage performances, and food and activity booths. Admission is free.
