Kazusa no Sato Forest School (Mutsuzawa) Autumn 2026

About this event

A forest-building experience event in the satoyama of Mutsuzawa Town, connecting traditional trails to the next generation. Through the maintenance of the Hinokozaka Historic Road and a social gathering, it will be a day to connect with the local nature. By removing grass and bamboo and gathering cut bamboo, participants will widen the historic trail. An opportunity to think about water flow and soil environments together with earth regeneration experts is also provided. After the work, participants will move to Roadside Station Mutsuzawa for lunch and a social gathering. Following the closing ceremony, free time is available for activities such as bathing in the hot spring "Tsudoi no Yu" or shopping. Free shuttle bus service from around Tokyo Station is also available. This event aims to promote local natural environment conservation and exchange between urban and rural agricultural, forestry, and fishing communities.
