Tyrannosaurus Race in Koto Ward Ojima

On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the "Tyrannosaurus Race in Koto Ward Ojima" will be held at Ojima Komatsugawa Park in Ojima, Koto Ward, Tokyo. This event is a unique competition where participants run dressed in Tyrannosaurus costumes, marking its 3rd edition. Organized by the Ojima Nakanohashi Shopping Street Promotion Association, it is also held as an official race certified by the "Japan Tyrannosaurus Athletic Federation." The race is divided into three categories: "Adult Male Division" (junior high school students to adults), "Adult Female Division" (junior high school students to adults), and "Juvenile Division" (up to elementary school students), where participants compete for time wearing their own Tyrannosaurus suits. Participants will receive a 200-yen shopping voucher usable in Ojima Nakanohashi Shopping Street, and winners of each category will be presented with shopping vouchers for the shopping street. In addition to the races, a project allowing participants to join the Halloween parade in Ojima Nakanohashi Shopping Street while still wearing their Tyrannosaurus suits is also prepared, creating an impressive spectacle of dinosaurs marching through town. Participation prizes and awards will be announced at the venue, promising plenty of excitement. On the day, reception opens at 9:30 and the event is scheduled to end around 13:30. Participation requires advance application and will close once the capacity of 700 people is reached. As rental suits are not provided, participants must prepare their suits in advance. Entry requires consent to having race videos and photos published on the internet. In addition, to maintain race fairness, designated dinosaur suits (or equivalent standard products) are recommended. After the race, participants can enjoy "Tyra-katsu" (T-rex activities) at Ojima Komatsugawa Park and join the Halloween parade at Ojima Nakanohashi Shopping Street.
