48th Komatsugawa Hirai Hometown Festival

About this event

Held under the theme "Feel free to join in. You are the star.", this is one of the largest local festivals in the area. Many events are prepared for a wide range of generations to enjoy, from children to senior citizens. The Hanagasa Ondo from the Tsuruoka Fujishizukai in Yamagata Prefecture and original portable shrines (creative mikoshi) will appear to liven up the venue. In addition, performing groups are being recruited for each stage (Waiwai and Ikiiki) of the hometown festival, featuring projects where the community unites to build festival excitement. In case of rain, some stages will be held in the Komatsugawa Community Center Hall. This festival aims to deepen exchanges among local residents and build a vibrant community.
