The '49th Itabashi Agricultural Festival', promoting the appeal of urban agriculture in Itabashi Ward, will be held over two days on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15, 2026. This year's theme is 'Creating New Value: Urban Agriculture of Itabashi.' Taking place across multiple venues around Akatsuka Gymnasium Street, the event aims to convey the diverse charms of urban agriculture and foster connections with the local community. Akatsuka Elementary School, traditionally used as a venue, cannot be used due to life-extension construction work, so Shimo-Akatsuka Elementary School and the Akatsuka Branch Office will serve as part of the venues. On the day of the event, advance registration events will also be held, including daikon radish and carrot harvesting experiences, free kenchin-jiru soup tastings, and the sharing of vegetables from the vegetable treasure ship (Takara-bune). Because partial traffic restrictions will be in effect during the festival period, the use of public transportation is recommended. It is an event where visitors can connect with Itabashi's agriculture and enjoy autumn flavors and hands-on experiences.
