About this event

The 49th Edogawa Citizens Festival is the largest festival held in Edogawa Ward, visited by many people from inside and outside the ward. Aiming at citizen interaction and the formation and development of the local community, it is planned and operated handmade by local residents. This festival will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Tokyo Metropolitan Shinozaki Park, and can be enjoyed from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with free admission. At the venue, for safety and park preservation, private tent installation, driving stakes to hold spots, open fire, loud noise, sales activities, and drone use are prohibited. It is scheduled to proceed even in rain, but may be cancelled due to severe weather or disaster; the decision on whether to hold the event will be made at 6:00 a.m. on the day and announced on the ward website and social media. The Edogawa Citizens Festival is a historic festival that has been handed down by the hands of citizens since the first edition was held in 1978 (Showa 53).
