About this event

Organized by the Musashino Tourism Organization, "Musashino Town Walk: Kichijoji Past and Present Course" is a historical walking tour tracing 60 years of urban development in Kichijoji. Departing from the North Exit of JR Kichijoji Station, the tour covers a course of approximately 2.5 km over about 2 hours, visiting Sun Road, North Exit Station Square, Honcho Inari Street, Kichijoji Library, Motomachi Street, Musashi Street, Gessouji Temple / Honcho Shindo, Tokyu Department Store, Daiya-gai, Harmonica Yokocho, Koen Street, Nakamichi Street, Heiwa Street, Inokashira Street, Musashino Public Hall, and concluding at the South Exit of Kichijoji Station. On this tour, you can firsthand feel the changes in Kichijoji from the past to the present. The participation fee is 1,000 yen (including insurance and tax), the same for both adults and children. The capacity is limited to 30 participants (first-come, first-served basis), with the application period running from Saturday, August 1 to Monday, September 21. The tour will be held rain or shine, so you can join without worrying about the weather. Gathering is scheduled for 9:50 AM in front of the 2nd Floor Central Ticket Gate of JR Kichijoji Station, with dismissal at the South Exit of Kichijoji Station. Take this opportunity to enjoy a town walk and gain a deeper understanding of Kichijoji's history and charm.
