About this event

This walking course explores the autumn foliage of Inokashira Park accompanied by a guide. Various trees such as sawtooth oak, zelkova, konara oak, cherry, and maple grow within the park, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery of vivid autumn leaves reflected on the pond's surface. Participants can take in classic autumn views such as a vermilion carpet woven by approximately 600 maple trees and the colors of the natural woods of Gotenyama, which preserve traces of the historic Musashino landscape. The course covers approximately 4 km and lasts 2 hours, departing from JR Kichijoji Station, touring Inokashira Onshi Park, Inokashira Pond (Nanai Bridge), the starting point of the Kanda River, the Ujo Noguchi song monument, Ochanomizu, the annex entrance of Inokashira Park Zoo, Inokashira Benzaiten Shrine, and the Gotenyama Ruins, before ending in front of the main entrance of Inokashira Park Zoo. A guide back to Kichijoji Station is available upon request. This tour offers a prime opportunity to experience the deepening autumn while connecting with the rich nature and history of Inokashira Park.
