The "Annual Grand Festival (Autumn Festival)," which deepens community bonds, will be held over two days on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Misawa Hachiman Shrine in Hino, Tokyo. On the 12th (the eve), children's portable shrines (mikoshi) depart around 16:00, and food and activity stalls appear from around 17:00. On the main festival day, the 13th, the mikoshi will parade through the Misawa district for approximately 9 hours from 10:00 to 19:00. Festival stalls within the shrine grounds offer yakitori, yakisoba, and other foods, and an entertainment show begins at 13:00. With a history tracing back to the late Kamakura period, the Misawa Hachiman Shrine Annual Grand Festival is a beloved local celebration where energetic chants and festive excitement echo across the neighborhood.
