An annual autumn grand festival held every year on the first Sunday of October at Hikawa Shrine in Higashimurayama City. In 2026, it is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, with festival floats parading through the town from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Following that, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, festival music (matsuri-bayashi) and dedicatory dances will take place, alongside scheduled open-air food and game stalls. This festival is a community-rooted traditional rite that provides an opportunity for local residents to gather and deepen connections through portable shrines (mikoshi), festival floats, traditional music, and dances.
