Komae Citizens General Gymnasium Grand Reopening Event

About this event

An event for local residents will be held to commemorate the resumption of operations of Komae Citizens General Gymnasium. On Saturday, October 3, the opening ceremony will feature a commemorative concert by the Komae Second Junior High School Brass Band, a performance by the Alvark Cheerleaders, and a demonstration and facility tour by Masaru Yamada, gold medalist in the Tokyo Olympic fencing men's epee team event. In the afternoon session, an activity booth will be set up in Arena 1 where visitors can enjoy fluffy trampolines and slacklines, while a fencing experience session with Masaru Yamada will be held in Arena 2. These programs are free of charge and require no advance registration. Furthermore, on Monday, October 12 (public holiday), a hands-on coaching session and talk show by Kasumi Ishikawa, a former Japanese women's national table tennis player, will be held. The coaching session is limited to 50 participants selected by lottery, and the talk show can accommodate up to 300 spectators; both are free of charge, but advance registration is required.
