Set across the entirety of Higashiyamato City, 'Sayama Hills Rogaining' will be held with the aim of rediscovering the charms of the region's rich nature and tourist spots, promoting citizens' health, and fostering multigenerational exchange. This outdoor sport involves using a map to navigate multiple checkpoints within a time limit and taking photos to compete for points. While exploring the beautiful nature of Sayama Hills and city attractions on foot, participants can take on 'special missions' such as workshops set up at checkpoints, experiencing the charms of Higashiyamato City like a game. Categories include Family, Senior, and General divisions, each with different event times. The start and finish point is Higashiyamato City Folk Museum. Participation is free, and capacity is the first 380 applicants.
