Safety & Security Festa 2026

Hosted by AEON MALL Higashikurume, the "Safety & Security Festa 2026" is an event designed to raise citizens' awareness of disaster prevention and crime prevention. The venue offers numerous hands-on programs for families, from children to adults, including vehicle displays by the Japan Self-Defense Forces, the fire department, and the police, as well as an evacuation shelter simulation and displays of municipal stockpile supplies. In particular, visitors can enjoy rare experiences such as an introduction to the crime prevention app "Digi Police" and a 110 emergency call simulation by the MPD Tanashi Police Station, a police motorcycle display, mini-car rides and children's firefighter uniform try-ons with AED handling practice by the Tokyo Fire Department Higashikurume Fire Station, and uniform/camouflage try-ons along with military ration displays by the JSDF Tokyo Provincial Cooperation Office. Practical disaster preparedness contents are also abundant, including an earthquake simulation vehicle, a smoke tent experience, and a water fire extinguisher drill using a neighborhood disaster prevention training vehicle. Under the TOKYO Kodomo Mimamori no Wa Project, parent-child crime prevention classes, screenings of the "Ika no Osushi" safety video, and a coloring-can-badge workshop will also take place, providing an opportunity to learn about safety while having fun.
