About this event

"Northern Tama Regional Children's Experience Academy Autumn Program 1: Exciting! Technology Experience" is an experiential program to encounter cutting-edge technology, aimed at elementary and junior high school students living or studying in the Tama Rokuto region (Kodaira City, Higashimurayama City, Kiyose City, Higashikurume City, Nishi-Tokyo City). In the programming experience, participants can enjoy learning programming basics using the pipe robot "Meca-Mogura". This program will be held on Sunday, October 18, in two sessions: from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Each session has a capacity of 24 participants and is aimed at 1st-grade elementary school to 3rd-grade junior high school students; students in 3rd grade of elementary school or below must be accompanied by a guardian. One laptop per person (Windows 10 or higher, equipped with a USB Type-A port) is required to participate. Applications can be made until Sunday, September 20, via the Children's Experience Academy website (Tamarokuto Science Center homepage). In addition, on the same day during the same hours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, toy drone and VR hot air balloon experiences will be held with no application required. In the toy drone experience, participants operate an indoor drone to try passing through hoops and landing on a helipad; in the VR hot air balloon, you can experience a hot air balloon flight while remaining on the ground. These experiences are aimed at 1st-grade elementary school to 3rd-grade junior high school students with no capacity limit, but museum admission to Tamarokuto Science Center is required separately. Depending on congestion, reception may end early.
