About this event
Nishitokyo City is holding the Nishitokyo Citizens' Culture Festival as a place for citizens to present and introduce their daily cultural and artistic activities. For Reiwa 8 (2026), under the theme "Connecting the Circle of Culture to the Future," exhibitions and stage performances across 17 divisions will be showcased at 5 venues in the city. You can see the daily achievements of each division that has carried on cultural and artistic activities. Live streaming will also be available for some stage performances. In addition, the "Japanese Culture Experience Festival in Citizens' Culture Festival" will be held, where both Japanese and foreign visitors can experience traditional Japanese culture together. The opening ceremony will be held on Sunday, October 18, Reiwa 8 (2026), from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at the Tact Home Komorebi GRAFARE Hall (Main Hall). Event details and the schedules for each venue and division can be checked on the "Nishitokyo Citizens' Culture Festival Flyer" or the "Event List Page." Those wishing to participate in next year's Citizens' Culture Festival must apply at the general meeting held annually in May. Details will be announced around April in the Nishitokyo City Bulletin and on the city website.
